Feed-Updating using cron-job from remote host (using curl)

Hi,

I'm hosting selfoss on a server which does not allow me to add cron jobs for updating.
Thus, before 2.8, I set up a cron job on a different host which runs

curl "http://selfosss.myhost.com/update"

periodically.
But since 2.8, I cannot update ("unallowed access"), since the cron-user is not logged in.

Is there a recommended way how to use cron+curl?
