Allow less than <, greater than > signs

I know it's just trying to be safe and strip symbols and tags, but how do I allow things like the less than and greater than signs?

I am subscribed to a lot of blogs that deal with coding, and the formatting never shows up in Selfoss as intended.

Things look okay on his page, but not in Selfoss. The other one that has this happen is http://thedailywtf.com/.
