I think that that's a great idea, too. I don't know how difficult it would be, though. I'd still use the selfoss front-end for my desktop reading, but would like to have alternatives like Reeder for mobile.

That would be a really useful addition to selfoss, althought also the developers of the reader apps have to do their part of the job.

I think it would be great that Selfoss will be compatible with the Google Reader API. What do you guys think? If implemented, then it's rather easy for -for example- Reeder to synchronise with Selfoss.... also see this post from Marco Arment: http://www.marco.org/2013/03/14/baby-steps-replacing-google-reader
