Display (at least a placeholder for) embedded video? (reply)

I've fixed my issue, and now I love my selfoss installation. See the picture towards the middle of my blog posting about it: http://david.dlma.com/blog/finding-an-rss-feed-reader-to-replace-google-reader That image came from the feed entry associated with this article: http://dreamhost.com/dreamscape/2013/03/29/customer-spotlight-clint-davis/

If you were to view that entry in the default installation of selfoss, it'd be a screenful of word soup, without any clues as to the existence of images, or who's speaking in which paragraphs, or where the paragraphs necessarily were.

Related, my experience is that this validated feed:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/theatlantic/infocus has one image per item, but even after pressing "Load Images" in selfoss, no image or placeholder appears.

It'd be best for me if the image could be displayed as specified by the feed, but if I can't have that, I'd benefit from at least a placeholder div area, so that I'd know that there's a reason I have to navigate to the source link.

I don't know what I'm doing, but I thought I'd try adding the relevant "Remove object, param, and embed from the default list" snippet to spouts/rss/feed.php

http://simplepie.org/wiki/reference/simplepie/strip_htmltags#remove_object_param_and_embed_from_the_default_list

Display (at least a placeholder for) embedded video?

The feed http://feeds.paidcontent.org/pcorg/ currently has an item "Charter to antenna maker: don’t tell our customers about cord cutting" that has an embedded YouTube video in its content section.

Here's the embed code:

<span class="embed-youtube" style="text-align:center; display: block;"><iframe class="youtube-player" type="text/html" width="604" height="370" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/T8KAvm3jgGI?version=3&#38;rel=1&#38;fs=1&#38;showsearch=0&#38;showinfo=1&#38;iv_load_policy=1&#38;wmode=transparent" frameborder="0"></iframe></span>

The other feed readers I use (Google Reader or Tiny Tiny RSS) each display the embedded video or show a placeholder for it.

Is there a way to have selfoss display the embedded video, too? If the video can't be displayed, I'd like a visual cue that there would be video in the article if I navigate to the source site.
