I have never used OpenShift, how does it differ from Heroku? Could you try to replicate the PaaS instructions?

Hi thanks for the reply. I don't know if it's similar because i'm totally unskilled on computer programming things. I want to take control of my RSS data and looking on the net I learned that some people use base account of Openshift Online as a free RSS server. I created an account but it' s so complicated for a neophyte like me.

Instead of Openshift, do you know free web hosting service where to run Selfoss?

Already mentioned Heroku offers a free try-out. But I do not think you can set up a cron service on the free plan – you would have to refresh it manually.
There are also some dedicated free PHP hosts but they either inject ads or are otherwise unreliable.
You could also try VPS like DigitalOcean which offers a free credit often (for example in GitHub student pack), but that will require some knowledge of Linux administration.
I would recommend using some very cheap but reliable web host. I used to use Wedos before I could afford my own VPS.
