How to enable public access?

by ipsmith, Saturday, March 16, 2013, 00:50 (4202 days ago)

Hello! It's me again!!

I don't know if i did something wrong or i'm not doing what i need to do, but how do i enable the public access to my feed stream?

At the config.ini i set up my username/password and set public=1, but i can't figure out how guests are supposed to see my feed, since when visiting myurl.com/selfoss/ the login screen prompts and there is no way to see the rss stream without authenticating.

Am i missing something? Any special url? or guest account?
Thank you!

Hi,

no that is enough. Set a username, password and public=1. Here my example configuration which works correctly (username and password = test):

db_type=sqlite
db_file=data/sqlite/selfoss.db
db_host=localhost
db_database=selfoss
db_username=root
db_password=
db_port=3306
logger_level=ERROR
items_perpage=50
items_lifetime=30
base_url=
username=test
password=ca140fc4d625054153ddc0845f0ab32251f6ffef4917da23b05291cf630ec45396fb525d0e249049f16ce23eccf757d5a7edfc74441af739a0c390f8c89e614e
